The surface currently has some rust / marks / chips / flaky paint. We would recommend sandblasting and a repaint for this bed. The bed fits together well, with ease and is sturdy. The sides are a little bent, but our bed base sits on the corners of this bed, so the structure of the bed is not affected. A new, 100cm x 190cm metal frame slatted bed bed base is included in the price.
